Dear Family,

On Saturday we worked through a big list of people we've been trying to contact, one of them was B. She's an older woman from the South who really loves God - we met her in June but haven't been able to see her since. We stopped by her place first thing that morning, and she let us right in. She told us she'd had a good feeling come over her when she woke up, telling her that something good was going to happen that day. She said that when we came to her door she knew it was God sending us there, and that was why she'd been given that feeling - amazing! But then - here's the kicker - she said we couldn't come back until October. Ahhh! You need the Gospel, B! That was hard for me. I love that woman already and want her to have these blessings as soon as she can - but I also do know that it needs to be in the Lord's time and way. :)

I can't believe I'm more than halfway through my time here, it's very unreal for me. I love seeing the growth, both in others and myself. I love goals - making a blueprint of how we're going to get somewhere, and then getting to work. I love getting to help others make goals by inviting them to do the things God has asked us to do, giving them a time frame, and helping them prepare for Eternal Life by strengthening their faith in Christ and being baptized. I've made goals too, and the Lord is helping me get there; He has been with me every step of the way, and I've seen the changes. It is all so rewarding and fulfilling - a mission really is the best foundation you can have for the rest of your life. I feel so, so blessed that I get to be here.

Hope you make this week a great one! :) I love you all!

Love,
Sister Brinton

P.S. Here's a Wisconsin joke for ya: what did Mormon say when he was asked to milk the cows? http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/morm/3?lang=eng (Mormon 3:11)
P.P.S. I had the best ribs I've ever had in my life this past week... and I've more ribs than I've ever had in my life since coming to Wisconsin (and I love it) :)

Dear Family,

This past week has been busy and amazing, I think one of the best parts was getting a letter from someone I was able to teach in my last area. She was just baptized, and told me how the Gospel has changed and is changing her life and making her a better person. She said that although the change was hard for her, it was worth it - and that the peace she felt from her baptism helped her know that it was the right thing. She said she hadn't felt like kind of peace or happiness in a long time. I can't even explain how happy it made me to hear this from her! She had once told us she would never be able to change - and now she is baptized, experiencing the full blessings that come from having the Gospel in her life and learning that this is just the beginning. I think I've already quoted this scripture but I'm quoting it again because it's exactly how I feel: Alma 29:9-10; this work is amazing. I absolutely love getting to be a missionary!

I love you! Hope you have a great week!

Love,
Sister Brinton
